Today I’m excited to announce that Eric Morse is joining us as our new Head of Product! I’m excited to create the best commerce and financial data infrastructure products with him.
About Eric
Prior to joining Rutter, Eric Morse lead Payment Products at Plaid, where he shipped zero-to-one products that formed the core of Plaid’s Money Movement product. His two defining contributions were the Signal product, which leverages Plaid’s existing data connections to assess transaction risk and Transfer, which is Plaid’s core ACH processing payment product.
After two successful product launches, Eric became the GM of Payment Risk, focusing on scaling the Signal product to all of Plaid’s existing customers. As the GM of Payment Risk, Eric was responsible for all aspects of Signal, from managing the GTM motion to working closely with product and engineering.
Prior to his time at Plaid, Eric is a seasoned operator in financial services, working as VP of Product Management at Visa, Case Team Leader at Bain, and product manager at Bank of the West.
Why We’re Working with Eric
Eric brings a ton of relevant operational and domain experience - he’s built and sold API products and value add services at Plaid, delved deep into payment and commerce infrastructure at Visa, and worked on the other side as a PM at Bank of the West.
In conversations with people that have worked with Eric, everyone has described him as an execution machine - his singular focus is shipping products that customers love, and he’ll do anything he can to make sure that he gets it done. He has the DNA of operational rigor and urgency that are exactly what we’re looking for in a product leader.
Let’s do this!
I’m excited to work with Eric and build the infrastructure layer for commerce and business data - things certainly got a lot more confusing internally given that my cofounder’s name is also Eric!
If you’re looking to work with us, we’re hiring.
